With the support of Save The Children Turkey Organization, we hosted our very first Urban Hacking Workshop in Hatay along with 40 Onaranlar Kulübü volunteers within the scope of Young Refugees Support Programme of Community Volunteers (TOG). The workshop took place in Vali Urgen Park where we painted a wall and built urban furnitures by upcycling waste pallets. In the last step, we placed the upcycled urban furnitures onto the wall we had painted in different colors.
Thanks to the beloved volunteers of Onaranlar Kulübü, we managed to successfully complete the workshop within a couple of days. We would like to express our gratitude to TOG and Save The Children Turkey for their constant support throughout this amazing journey. And, massive thanks to the locals of Hatay for their warm welcome! We cannot wait to revisit this amazing city for another workshop.
