On the second day of the Semtine Has event presented by Kendine Has and curated by Hood Base team, we upcycled unused crates for our furry friends on the streets.
Between March 5-12, we installed the crates we upcycled on the streets of Kadıköy within the scope of Semtine Has, where various art and cultural events were organized in different parts of Kadıköy, curated by Hood Base. Before the workshop, various housing unit models for stray animals were designed from old crates. The designed housing units were came to life in the upcycling workshop with 12 participants.
In line with the inclusive and sustainable principles of Onaranlar Kulübü, different production and application techniques were covered in the upcycling workshop we organized with 12 participants and 4 workshop instructors. Together with the participants, we placed the three different units that we got as a result of the workshop at various points in Kadıköy. By utilizing plastic crates that were no longer in use, we have provided new homes for our furry friends in the streets!
