Collective Fixing and Production Workshop
With the invitation of the Reach Alternative (REALs) team, we painted a village school in Ankara and produced library units for the school with the support of young people participating in the "Employability, Entrepreneurship and Social Cohesion Project for Syrian and Turkish Youth", which is carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with the funding of the Japanese Government.
Within the scope of the "Employability, Entrepreneurship and Social Cohesion Project for Syrian and Turkish Youth" programme, Turkish and Syrian project participants who work and volunteer in Youth Centers in 5 provinces determined by the MoYSB are provided with social cohesion trainings and they gain leadership skills in this field and organize social cohesion events for Turkish and Syrian youth in their provinces.
As part of these harmonization activities, Onaranlar Kulübü renovated a village school in Ankara with the participation of 57 young volunteers from different districts of Ankara. Within the scope of the project, we painted the interior and exterior walls of the school with the preset color scale and met the library needs of the school with the shelving units we designed and produced together.
Focusing on the working together, strengthening group dynamics and using imagination goals, the first day of the Co-Production and Fixing Workshop was dedicated to introduction, exploration and design modules, while the second day was dedicated to production and implementation within the framework of the decisions taken. Throughout the project, participants used various production and fixing methods and put the learning outcomes into practice with the trainings provided by the project team.
