As part of the Semtine Has event presented by Kendine Has and curated by Hood Base team, we mounted a Freddie Mercury figure on a wall in Kadife Sokak, Kadıköy.
As part of Semtine Has, where various art and cultural events were organized in different parts of Kadıköy between March 5-12 under the curatorship of Hood Base, we mounted a 3D print of the iconic artist of the 70s, Freddie Mercury onto a wall. Reflecting the dynamic, free and music-filled spirit of Kadife Sokak, Freddie Mercury is accompanied by the classic minivan of Kendine Has.
For the Freddie Mercury figure, 13 pieces were 3D printed and these were assembled with Selsil adhesives. CNC cutting method was used in the production of the minivan and the piece were painted with Kendine Has colors. On March 5, 20 participants accompanied Onaranlar Kulübü with Queen songs playing in the background. Thanks to this project, we experienced the excitement of performing the first live street installation together.
