The “Urban Space Street Installations Series”, created in collaboration by Onaranlar Kulübü and LEGO Türkiye, was inspired by the idea of offering a fun and imaginative space experience throughout different parts of the city. With this project, we set out to breathe new life into public spaces while encouraging children and young people to explore the vast possibilities of outer space.
As part of the project, we designed and installed space-themed artworks in locations such as Nişantaşı, Abbasağa, Feriköy, Moda, and Müze Gazhane. Each installation was inspired by the playful universe of LEGO and produced using 3D printing technology. These pieces invited residents—especially children—into a world of imagination right in the heart of their neighborhoods.
Drawing from the mysterious charm of outer space, these installations aim to spark creativity in young minds and invite them on their own intergalactic journeys. As people walk through the city, encountering LEGO spaceships, aliens, planets, and more turns an ordinary stroll into an exciting adventure.
The project also provided children and young people with an opportunity to dream up and share their own stories. Through a special contest page on lego.com, participants are invited to answer the question “What does the space you imagine look like?” for a chance to win exciting prizes.
And the space adventure isn’t over yet! As the installations continue to appear across the city, the project keeps surprising urban explorers with bursts of creativity and wonder. We invite you to join the journey and discover the galaxy of your own imagination!

Urban Space Installations: A Journey Through Children’s Eyes
Inspired by our Urban Space street installations, we asked children: “What does the space you imagine look like?” The 374 imaginative responses we received revealed once again the infinite possibilities of the universe!
Through this project, children had the chance to freely express their dreams and creativity around the theme of space. Selected designs from hundreds of submissions were reinterpreted by illustrator Dilara Akbal and transformed into unique artworks. These original illustrations were then turned into a collage and featured in the window displays of selected LEGO stores.
One of the most exciting aspects of the project was the integration of augmented reality (AR) technology into this creative process. Dilara’s illustrations came to life through a custom AR filter, turning the designs into a captivating visual experience that inspired both children and adults alike.
At Onaranlar Kulübü, we turned this project into a holistic experience that connected children’s imagination not only with a competition format but also with public space and digital technology. Together, we celebrated the power of dreaming about the future once again!
