We took part in İstiklal Street with the “Olympart” exhibition, where we combined the universal spirit of sports and intercultural dialogue with art! In this project, organized by Institut français Türkiye ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games in Paris, French artist Leona Rose and Turkish artists from the Onaranlar Kulübü community were invited to express the Olympic spirit and the universal theme of sports through art. The exhibited work not only reflected the unifying power of sports but also symbolized the importance of intercultural dialogue.
The venue for the exhibition was the Institut français Türkiye building, a French heritage site that blends with the historical fabric of Istanbul. This 18th-century historical structure strengthened the artistic connection with Centre Pompidou, one of the most iconic contemporary art venues in Paris, reinforcing the bridge between past and present in the art world. The artworks highlighted both the historical heritage of the venue and conveyed the universal values of sports through an artistic language.
The “Olympart” exhibition offered an experience that brought cultures together and united people around shared values by using the universal language of art and sports. As Onaranlar Kulübü, we were proud to be part of this project, contributing to this significant universal theme with every piece featured in the exhibition.
