We have added a new one to our projects focusing on sustainability and upcycling! In our collaboration with Aksa Akrilik, we created an innovative socialization area from old machine parts. The idle parts of Aksa Akrilik’s fiber drafting machines, used between 1982 and 2019, were brought to life again with an artistic approach.

While we contributed to Aksa Akrilik’s vision on sustainability with this project, we also created a special meeting point for employees. In this project, where approximately 6 tons of materials were upcycled, we reused 313 meters of pipes and various machine parts. The resulting socialization area was designed to seat 23 people at the same time and was made available to all employees in the factory.

Throughout this creative process, we once again emphasized the importance of environmental sensitivity while creating an aesthetic and functional space with materials from the past to the present. While Ali Raif Dinçkök’s interest in art and his sensitivity to the valorization of waste inspired the project, we showed that sustainability is not only an environmental responsibility but also a process of creating social benefit.

As Onaranlar Kulübü, we not only created a physical space with this project; At the same time, we have implemented a transformation that will inspire the future by optimizing the use of resources.
